ART THERAPY helps kids with ADHD and autism have a creative outlet to assist them in emotional regulation, social skills, and increased communication through art. If the above-stated activities are indulged by these kids, they would be able to enhance their focus, relieve anxiety and express their feelings in a comfortable setup. Because they might have a hard time speaking out, so art serves as their perfect medium to express complex ideas and feelings. The group art therapy sessions increase teamwork and social skills. Thus, it helps the children to make friends. In conclusion, art therapy for autism and ADHD is one of the easiest and effective ways to combat such situations both at home and at school after common measures have failed. Art therapy is good therapy for kids of ADHD and ASD because it seems to accommodate those two disabilities in unique way. All of these children seem to have issues with attention, impulsivity, sensory sensitivities, emotional regulation and communication. Art therapy is creative nonverbal approach which can accept a lot of these problems. It gives an autistic/ adhd child safe, non-threatening, non-judgemental arena to express their feelings and communicate in a more meaningful way and acquire those skills that are so vital to in terms of sustained attention, organization, and social interaction that is appropriate.
